Articulation
With its new design, the Ultra-Sidewinder™ Floor Cord & Cable Protection System articulates left and right, allowing it to turn corners and adapt to the layout of a room while still fully protecting any cords, cables, wires, and hoses underneath.
Secure Portability
Cords and cables snap securely into the bottom of the Ultra-Sidewinder™ Floor Cord & Cable Protection System and can be left in place for the ultimate in portability. The small size system (with cord in place) can be coiled for easy portability and transport.
Customizable Length
The Ultra-Sidewinder™ Floor Cord & Cable Protection System is available in standard lengths but, because of its modular design and segmented construction, custom lengths can be created from 1.5″ to an unlimited length with the large size.
Drive-Over Capability
Integrated support ribs under the Ultra-Sidewinder™ Floor Cord & Cable Protection System provide outstanding weight-bearing capacity allowing for vehicles with pneumatic tires to safely drive over cords, cables, wires, and hoses without damaging them.

The Ultra-Sidewinder Ramps are specifically designed to go over the Ultra-Sidewinder™ Floor Cord & Cable Protection System, making it easier and more convenient for those individuals with wheelchairs, mobility scooters or other special needs to move over the protected cords, cables, wires or hoses. The ramps are made from a durable polymer with a textured, non-skid surface and meet all Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.

Cord & Cable Protectors Help to Prevent Injury or Death
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) estimates that approximately 2,000 fractures, lacerations, contusions, or sprains are treated in hospital emergency rooms each year from people tripping over extension cords. (CPSC Document #16)
The Ultra-Sidewinder™ Floor Cord & Cable Protection System provides trip protection from the three most common conditions whereby injuries and even death occur.
- It protects from trips when you step on a round cord and it rolls under your foot. The rubber feet on the bottom of the Ultra-Sidewinder™ Floor Cord & Cable Protection System keep it from sliding when stepped on.
- It protects you if you kick the cord. A cord that does not move when kicked creates a trip hazard. The Ultra-Sidewinder™ Floor Cord & Cable Protection System is designed to give when kicked, thereby minimizing the hazard.
- When cords, cables, wires, and hoses are not covered and protected, they can “loop up” and not sit flat on the floor. This loop creates an opening for one’s foot to get hooked into, thereby causing a potentially traumatic trip or fall. The Ultra-Sidewinder™ Floor Cord & Cable Protection System eliminates this concern.
The Ultra-Sidewinder helps meet OSHA regulations: 29 CFR 1910.304 · 29 CFR 1910.305 and also satisfies the National Electrical Code – Section 525.6.
